Using digital video or photography I play with the fetishistic sexualisation of the female body in popular culture. Normalisation of this type of imagery desensitises the audience, producing a need for escalation and intensification. They become dead images that deaden the audience. The Interloper photographs and video are ambiguous and cut-outs that appear lifeless. The overtly sexual nature of the body compels the viewer into the position of voyeur, only to reveal itself as an inanimate object, and so the voyeur is turned into a fetishist.
